Hello. I recently setup the latest xampp on my xp pro box. I have read this thread and have not had any luck with the recommendations in it. I read for over a day on various things and have yet to figure this one out. I hope that you can assist me in this problem. Here is an example of what it does, a couple of the images simply only load halfway, swf file isnt loading, and the main background image is getting distorted.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Hi,

in the Thread you read, the solution should work.
The Solution
Find in your apache httpd conf file the following:

#EnableSendfile off
#EnableMMAP off

Both should be commented out by the use of # which you will need to remove (they may even by "on" but you will need to have when finished:

EnableSendfile off
EnableMMAP off

If you don't find the above Options in your httpd.conf...
Just add them, save, and restart your Apache.

Hi,

SP2 repairs something?
I thought SP2 only makes things worse...

Anyways... as long as it works now ;)

Actually I have had rather good luck with sp2. Upgraded 3 boxes myself with no problems as of yet (knocks on wood), I have read several stories where others where not as fortunate.

But yup it works, so I am going with it.
