Htdocs directory listing

I have just begun to use Xampp and have a lot to learn. I have installed Xampp 7.2.2-0 on a Windows 7 PC.
If I open the Chrome browser, and then type "localhost" into the address field, I am taken to the Dashboard.
However, I would rather see a directory of the "htdocs" folder. Then I can simply double click the file I wish to run.
Does anyone know the proper address to enter to view a directory listing of the "htdocs" folder?
Or, is there a way to reach the directory listing through the Dashboard?
