I'm a newby.

I need to enable php sockets within Apache. Is there a place that has step-by step-instructions, or could someone mention how that is done?
I'm new to it all so your help is greatly appreciated.

Sockets is not part of Apache, but of PHP only. It is enabled in Xampp per default, you cannot anything about it.
