WordPress Elementor Plugin cant find Server or something.

Hi all, new to the forums, but have been using XAMPP for many years now.

I just installed the newest version of XAMPP for windows, and did a clean install of a Wordpress site which is working fine.
My problem is that I have loaded a plugin called Elementor which is a kind of webpage builder. It has you invoke it when you go to edit a page so that you can use it to edit the page, but when I try to invoke it, it trys to load and then it seems to time out and the browser window says:

The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

This has something to do with the server but I do not know what.
I have already given it more memory, and tried increasing the PHP time, as was suggested to me, but to no avail.
I was hoping to get this to work on my Local XAMPP web server before doing it online.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
