Drupal is now complaining on XAMPP about

LIMITED DATE RANGE
Your PHP installation has a limited date range.
You are running on a system where PHP is compiled or limited to using 32-bit integers. This will limit the range of dates and timestamps to the years 1901-2038. Read about the limitations of 32-bit PHP.

Any chance to compile XAMPP with x64 soon?

Not for Windows. If you require 64bit Xampp, change to Linux.

Why can the code not compiled for x64? This would mean XAMPP has no future.

The components can be compiled in 64bit for Windows technically.
But at this time there is no chance because 64bit XAMPP versions for Windows are not even announced in the near future.

I found this issue happened in another forum. http://phplens.com/phpeverywhere/adodb_date_library

You mean "Xampp for Windows" has no future? Maybe, no problem. I do not recommend Windows anyway, Apache and MySQL are developed under Linux and are more stable anyway. Most webservers are running with Linux and I use Xampp on Linux as well. And there is a 64bit version. I dont fear that Xampp "has no future". And maybe, development for Apache/MySQL/PHP on Windows will be deprecated. If i were you, i would switch to Linux. As earlier as better.
