Xdebug not available for latest build of XAMPP?

Postby hugh.messenger » 19. September 2017 22:31

I'm trying to get xdebug going on the latest build of XAMPP (3.2.2) with PHP 7.1.9, but the version of the xdebug lib that ships with it doesn't load, and if I try the Xdebug.org download wizard with my phpinfo(), it tells me:

"The compiler (MS VC9) that this PHP was build with, is no longer supported. Please upgrade to a version that was built with MS VC11 or MS VC14."

Any ideas on this?

There must be something wrong with the wozard or your computer. Maybe you have a different PHP version installed which is added to your windows PATH variable. I don't know.
AFAIK PHP 7,1.9 in XAMPP is compiled in VC14

Thank you!

I'd copied it from the source of a phpinfo page before, so I tried doing it with "php -i | clip" on the command line instead, and got the correct xdebug lib.

All working now, thanks.
