just installed XAMPP and Both Apache and MySQL fail to run

Ive just Installed XAMPP and this is the massage i get in the control panel log.

Both Apache and MySQL fail to run. What can i do ti fix it?

You have port conflict. You need to see what service you are running that are using the same ports as xampp service. First, make sure all xampp are shutdown, then do a 'netstat -a ' from a command line.

Report back and provide the listings. You will have to change some default ports in the apache httpd.conf file.
