XAMPP 7.1.7 throwing .dll missing error for apache.

Hi. I installed xampp 7.1.7 in my 64 bit windows 7 OS. But on turning on apache, it is throwing the following error 'The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1.0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem' I then tried installing the dll from the following link https://www.dllme.com/dll/files/api_ms_win_crt_runtime_l1_1_0_dll.html
and reinstalled xampp, Now it shows the following error 'The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close this application.'

Please help!
