Control Panel v3.2.2 Apache Start error

Postby JEC » 07. August 2017 23:15

Hello XAMPP Community,

I am trying to use XAMPP v3.2.2 on a Windows 10 system.

The initial install appeared to go well except for one warning, which I listened to.
The error basically said where "not to" install the program.

I tried changing the config files 80 ports and 443. Also changed them in the settings.

My Apache Attempts to start the service but never gets past that step.

Can anyone help me out here?

Thank you,
JEC

We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!

It's like porn for programmers 8)

Apache wont Start

Postby JEC » 08. August 2017 00:48

I cannot start apache,
I have played with the #Listen 12.34.56.78:80, Listen 80, ServerName localhost:80
and also the Listen 443, <VirtualHost _default_:443>
but have not been able to see Apache run, or connect to a port number

Please help me out.

Thank you,

you're probably running into the same issue I was having and Windows firewall was blocking port 80 for public access but nothing prompted my windows firewall to ask me to allow the application to use port 80 until I installed a very basic but awesome webserver called miniWeb which when I ran that one, the Windows firewall message popped up asking me to allow port 80 open for public use or what ever it said, so once I allowed it now both Xampp and this one work on port 80, not at the same time of course :)
