Various errors importing data to phpMyAdmin

Postby albireo » 08. July 2017 08:50

I have XAMPP 3.2.2 PhpMyAdmin 5.6.30 installed on two laptops, both using Win 10. Having just updated data on one laptop I am trying to transfer data to the second (in a different location). I have used TRUNCATE and then IMPORT. I find that XAMPP .sql file wants to create a NEW table. Having got round this, I was able to load 3 out of 7 tables, all the others have error #1064 and a variety of 'unsuspected beginning of statement'.
As the .sql files are created by the same systems presumably in the right format why is some table data accepted and other not. I am wary of using data on XAMPP to update my live website.
