Unable to use CURL

I have download the latest update of Xampp and i notice that it doesn't offer curl as a service. Have this function been discontinued or have it been disabled

I just looked at the 5.6.30 download and the curl extension is in there and enabled by default.

I'm using version 3.1.0 Beta 6 and it has CURL but testing the same php file in version 7.0.16 doesn't work.

Probably that PHP file is not yet tested and released for PHP7?!

Until then i will continue with the old install
