Can't start mysql in XAMPP

Hi all,

I'm a newbie that may be in over my head. I am trying to use XAMPP to run open biblio for a small church library. all was going well until I tried to start this morning. All worked well last night which makes the log message worrisome:

"Error: MySQL shutdown unexpectedly.

What is weird is I thought I may have shutdown while forgetting to quit XAMPP, but log erro shows time of 18h00 when I actually started the program.
Any help or advise would be welcome. We are desperate.

Nevermind, I re-installed the everything back, and it works, i even copied over my back-up catalog files...but now I have a new error message...see my next posts
