New Chrome 58.0.3029.81 Does Not Recognize SSL

I just updated Chrome to 58.0.3029.81, and it refuses to accept my localhost SSL certificate. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, have you found a solution? I've tried re-registering the ssl certificate with Chrome/Windows (even generating a fresh, new certificate with a far-out expiration date), and it doesn't accept it.
Enabling certificates from localhost using "chrome://flags/#allow-insecure-localhost" is the only work-around, but it's not ideal, as it shows my localhost sites as not secure when, in fact, I do have a valid localhost SSL certificate (which all of the other browsers accept, as did Chrome prior to this update).
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Tom
