Hi, I heard about the portable option of the Xampp "Lite" for USB Flash Drive, but I'm not able to find the download.
All I see is the regular download for Windows OS. Where can I get the USB Flash Drive version for Windows OS? Would
appreciate the help. Thanks.

Hi,

On the Apachefriends Download page (https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html) click on "More Downloads >>>" at the bottom of the Windows downloads.
You will be redirected to the XAMPP sourceforge repository where you can find the portable, zip and 7z versions.

best wishes,

Is this for Windows 64-bit? I have a 64-bit Windows OS, but it seems like the file is only for 32?
I have already tried installing the following file:
"xampp-portable-win32-5.6.28-0-VC11-installer"

Here is the log that I'm getting when I try to click "START" on both "Apache" & "Mysql" "START" buttons:
"Apache services started"
"Busy......."

But I'm not able to find that the buttons turn green on "start" like the regular versions of Xampp for C: drive.
I have installed on my new San Disk 32GB which creates a E: drive.

So I guess this just leads me to asking exactly which download link can you or anyone send me for the right download
& how do I install or get this up and working? Appreciate the support.

Yes, these work very well on 64 Bit Windows versions too.

This simply means that the portable XAMPP control panel has found a windows service fitting the service name it is configured for itself.
You need to change this service name in the XAMPP control panel config.
