Return Code: 0 from httpd.exe and then nothing

Hey everyone,

I am fairly new to XAMPP and still have problems starting the Apache app from the XAMPP version "xampp-win32-7.1.1-0-VC14.zip".

The control panel has the following messages:

But then nothing happens.
All the logs (apache\logs and php\logs) are empty and when I try to open "apache_start.bat" the control pannel closes so fast, that I cannot read any messages.
Before this problem occured I have changed the Ports according to Altrea's " [Q&A] Changing the Apache default ports " (thanks for that by the way!!) to Main Port 8080 and SSL Port 10443. Port 80 is being used by the kernel.

Hi,

Don't install XAMPP into your users Directory. This directory is specially protected by Windows.
Install XAMPP to the recommend path C:\xampp\
