Starting Mysql admin in a browser of choice (NOT IE)

Apologies for posting this again. I know I posted this question before but I cannot find it anywhere.

I would like to know if I can get XAMPP Mysql Admin to open in a browser other than IE (the current default) I can't find any settings that let me specify the opening browser.
Anyone aware of how do do this?
Sorry for asking again.
McP.

Simply enter http://localhost/phpmyadmin in the browser of your choice. Do not hit the Admin button in the Xampp Controldialog instead, as this yields to the system default browser.

Thanks, I have been doing that, but coming from a long line of lazy people I had hoped I could get the ADMIN button to do it for me. Ho Hum.

And why didnt you ask for that? "Can i change the bevaviour of the Admin Button in Xampp, so that it starts a different Browser than IE?". Would have been the right question.

You asked: "How can i open Xampp admin in a different browser than IE". A totally different approach, isnt it?!

Anyway, see Altreas advice, did you try the "Config" button?

1. How can I open XAMPP admin in a different browser to IE
2. Can I change the behaviour of the admin button in XAMPP so that it starts in a different browser than IE?

1 and 2 same - implies a requirement and a solution if one is available for that requirement.

Semantics.

I did try the config button as I do not have enough experience I must apologise for being a newbie, we all start off somewhere. Still, in future posts to this board I will ensure my proofreader ensures that my questions are perfect.

I now have an answer for this, it just did not occur to me at the time.

By far not. Its even worse, on different OS than Windows, Xampp (and phpmyadmin) also run perfectly and there is no such thing as "ADMIN Button" in a Xampp Control. There is only ONE solution working in ALL environments: apply http://localhost/phpmyadmin manually into the browser of your choice.

And if you are planning to run that stuff in an online webserver environment (with your own domain), there finally isnt a Xampp Dialog and an Admin Button at all. If you DO NOT mention an Admin Button, it is impossible to guess, what you are doing. Or do you start Google for example via an Admin Button (or an "Google Button")?

Hmmm...

XAMPP Control panel v3.2.2 I use this, it's old but works for test purposes..

Module PID(s) Ports Actions

Apache 12345 444 Stop NEXT TO THE STOP BUTTON IS AN ADMIN BUTTON, THAT'S ADMIN OK, ADMIN?
MySQL 9876 123 Stop NEXT TO THE STOP BUTTON IS AN ADMIN BUTTON, THAT'S ADMIN OK, ADMIN?

Still wrong, The Control panel DOES NOt "use this", it provides it to you. But nobody forces you, to use it. You understand the difference? (Probably not...)....

P.S.: Do you have a car? If yes: use the car to cross the road, the car does it. But (surprisingly): you also still simply may go by feet. Actually, you dont need the car to cross the road. And you dont need Xampp Control Panel to run PhpMyAdmin.
