Problem with localhost

Postby Ornitorrinco » 05. March 2017 00:08

I installed XAMPP on Windows but when I try to open localhost the dashboard page doesnt show up. It is not connecting correctly.

I checked the configuration on the proxy section on my Firefox browser and also checked my host file on my xampp carpet. Both were ok.

I dont know what to do.

Is Apache started?
Did you change anything?

if you have installed xampp outside the program files
first close all xampp related applications that are open
then navigate to your xampp installation folder and run(click) set_xampp.bat
after that just make sure to run all xampp as an admin to check if things are running

Not only the control panel, you need to start Apache in the control panel too.
Apache is only started successfully if there is a green running label visible constantly next to the Apache label.

Yes, I started Apache and MySQL.

I ran the setup-xampp.bat file and it says: "xampp: test for the php.exe succesfully passed". It shows the Apache signature and in the end says: "Sorry; but... nothing to do!".
