Help with Connection

Have set up everything now and all is ok, but when I create a site through dreamweaver (any version) I get an unidentified error when creating a database..?

I have the following details:

Connection Name: TEST
MySQL Server - Localhost (have tried ip and webaddress)
Username (which is created in phpmyadmin with all priv)
Password (set)
Database (as its typed in phpmyadmin)

click on test "An unidentified error has occurred"

not sure if this is an Xampp issue or dreamweaver

Xampp version is 7.1.1

Can you create a database with MySQL CLI or phpmyadmin?

Hi, yeah I have created a table and added table for users.

I assume it's a Dreamweaver issue as I just tested with an odbc ms access database and I am able to link access to ok my phpmyadmin database and see, edit all data
