Update OpenSSL to version 1.1.0c on XAMPP version 5.6.28

Previously, one can download the OpenSSL binaries from the site and copy the libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll into the openssl folder of xampp.

However, starting from version 1.1.0, it did not use the 2 files. Also, there is no more OpenSSL 1.1.0 from the site anymore.

How do one go about it to upgrade the OpenSSL to version 1.1.0c on XAMPP version 5.6.28? or are there any websites that one can download OpenSSL v1.1.0c binary and copy-paste to upgrade the OpenSSL on XAMPP?

Do you know if the next version will include OpenSSL 1.1.0 for Windows? And when is going to be released?

There is no release schedule. It's done when it's done.
