Unable to update Wordpress

Hi, there!

I am unable to update Wordpress (to 4.6.1) via Admin Panel. It writes: 'Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in C:\xampp\htdocs\cms1\wp-includes\class-wp-http-curl.php on line 332'

What could be a remedy from this trouble?

And can I fasten XAMPP on a computer (a little bit slow it seems)?
