Apache Issue - Logs Empty

I've read the FAQ, used netstat to see nothing was running on port 80 or 443, then went through and changed it to 8082 and 444 just for the heck of it just incase (in both the httpd.conf and the httpd-ssl.conf) and I've also tried to make a virtual host in the vhosts file as well with the same result. The problem is that the log file for Apache errors is empty and stays empty no matter how many times I've tried it. I've run it as Admin, restarted a few times, nothing in the Windows Event viewer. Not sure how to go about troubleshooting what the issue is at this point without an error log!

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Then this is not needed.

My advice: revert all your changes from default and follow the instructions in both what you posted and the top of the forum.
