How can I update PHP and MySQL in Windows XP

I have Windows XP and XAMP 1.8.2, but I really want tu update PHO to newer version and MySQL to MariaDB.

Can I do that?

You can't.
PHP dropped Windows XP support for newer versions.
If you want to use newer PHP versions you need to update your OS.

Why do you use Windows XP yet? This Operating System is very old, and the newspapers have already announced that support would stop.
