upgraded PHP XAMPP not working

I upgraded my php from 5.5.6 to 5.6.x, but now when I try to log into apache through XAMPP I get many errors. Here are what the logs say:

I kept my previous php folder and it works fine when i change the folder name to the correct one example "php-old" to "php", but ever since I upgraded my php it no longer works, please help!

According to which official upgrade procedure und upgrade documentation did you do so?

We don't want to provide any support relating upgrading any of the XAMPP core components on their own.
And even more true: With that amount of information you gave us it is impossible to tell you what went wrong.

The current php version is 5.6.25

All i did is exract the new php folder gave it the name "php", put it in my xampp folder and renamed the older version of php folder to "php-old", but now the new version of php folder won't let apache start. I am not sure what other conf files I need to change.

The default ports work on the old php folder (80, 443) respectively, but not on the new php folder.

Not very surprising. There is no upgrade procedure for single Xampp components. If you need a newer PHP, either wait for a new Xampp release or dont use Xampp.
