How to access a database from external HD

Hey,

I have XAMPP installed on a HD but Windows has failed - I can access the files by using it as an external HD - Is there anyway to get the full database from the HD?

What does that mean? Which files (full name including full pathname) do you mean and what is meant by "i can access it as an external HD"? I have no idea how to "access files as an external HD"? Do you mean files ON your HDD? Or files instead of HDD (the word "as" is most confusing here, what is meant by "as an external HD"??).

Is there anyway to get the full database from the HD?

Sorry, but it is extremely hard to understand, what you are doing there, will you try to give a better explanation? And please provide messages / error messages, provide the name of software tools or whatever you are using there, only "Windows" is by far not enough.
