Xampp for windows 10

Hi, I have xampp v3.2.1 installed on windows 7 (works great). I just installed it on windows 10 on my new notebook computer. When I first tried running Apache it gave an error but I just tried it again after doing some errands and having lunch and it ran it this time. However this initial error has left me with a question. Should I have a newer version of Xampp for Windows 10 or does it Matter?

Thanks,
John

No.

Anyway, the version of Xampp is NOT "3.2.1" or similar, that is only the version of the GUI Control Center. The Xampp version is stated in the download and it is similar to the PHP version which is included (i.e. Xampp 5.6.2 or Xampp 7.0.1 or whatever).

Unfortunately, that is not what i said. There is no "special" version for Windows10, but there may arise problems with Skype or Microsoft IIS or whatever. That is independent from the Xampp version, mostly problems occur due to already occupied ports. You will find out.

Okay, thanks. I get it. Murphy is still alive and he knows the law of "don't make it too easy for them" :-)
