Please Explain Why Folders Won't Go When Uninstalling

Dear Community

Could anyone explain why when I uninstalled XAMPP, after dialogue messaged 'remove files', I still have folders on my 'C'Drive

I expected everything would of gone at the time of removal. I must say that at one time I did install XAMPP Pro, but not knowing at all what I was doing. I decided to remove the Pro application.

Still about the folders, I now directed my folders and installation via my external Hardrive (HHD), but I have noticed that an xampp folder is in my Local'C'Drive, as if shadowing where I am deciding to place my files.

Should I delete these folders?

I look forward to your directions and opinions.

Hi,

After uninstallation you can delete remaining folder/file fragments of your XAMPP installation.
What is XAMPP Pro?

best wishes,
Altrea

Hello Altrea

Thank you for your reply
I am quite surprised that with you saying that xampp pro is not known.

I have just realised it was coming from another website where I was directed to and this is the link: https://www.mamp.info/en/mamp-pro/

I know MAMP Pro
MAMP is not XAMPP. That are two completely different webserver software bundles.
