Installing XAMPP PHP 7

Postby olof84 » 12. June 2016 20:36

Hi!

I wanted to install XAMPP PHP 7 today, but I got two error messages during installation.
The first message said a file called -n was missing.
The second was this:
Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly Installtion fialed (php.exe). Perhaps you have to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable package. After that please execute the setup_xampp.bat in the xampp folder manually.

When I try to start Apache or MySQL i get this errors:

21:28:46 [Apache] Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly.
21:28:46 [Apache] This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies,
21:28:46 [Apache] improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method.
21:28:46 [Apache] Press the Logs button to view error logs and check
21:28:46 [Apache] the Windows Event Viewer for more clues
21:28:46 [Apache] If you need more help, copy and post this
21:28:46 [Apache] entire log window on the forums

I tried to install it twice, but still same error messages.
I am using Windows 10, and I have installed XAMPP on c:xampp_php7/ folder.
