phpMyAdmin Import/Export pages Blank

I have Xampp control panel v3.2.2 within there i have apache running on port 81. I have mysql running on port 3306 default.

I can login and view phpmyadmin fine. But within phpmyadmin when i click to export or import a database all i get is a blank section where normally a person would see information like what format to export/import etc.

no idea why this is. can someone shed some light on the subject?
