How to use wordpress in xampp

Hello, I am a novice and learning on my own through forums and google. I'm asking how to install wordpress or how the installation steps are done? I have bitnami installed and then I was directed to moodle and I only have moodle. I do in fact want wordpress instead. I thank you for your time reading this and appreciate your help.
