no mattter what, apache and mysql won't start

Postby nery89 » 09. October 2015 15:30

i'v unpacked the 5.6.12 (7z) in a folder (no spaces etc.).
i run the xampp-control.exe as administrator (UAC activated by the way).
changed port 80 to 8081 (in httpd.conf as well on panel>config>service and port settings).
restarted xampp-control.exe

errors everywhere and not a clue. failed apache and mysql. the logs don't exist.

is it the UAC issue or i'm doing something wrong? i'd rather not disable UAC

You used the 7z version.
Did you execute the setup_xampp.bat file after extracting?
