ECCN number

Hello,
I tried to search the forum for this, but it seems search is disabled at the moment.

At my work I need to install XAMPP but to get the permission to do so, I am required to find out the ECCN number for XAMPP.
Some tools have their ECCN determined by the vendor, a good example is http://www.apache.org/licenses/exports/

Has anybody faced this problem before and knows the export classification class by chance?

Since I have to request permissions for all the software that is installed by XAMPP, in this case I need to know only the number for XAMPP, and I will have to find out the numbers for each component like PHP and Apache server separately.

If the number has not been determined, I need to know if there is any encryption implementation related to XAMPP itself (I guess not, but I do have to ask).

Thanks for any information!

Xampp is only a distribution (a collection of different) software tools. If you really need this silly stuff (sorry, but it is silly), you have to find it out for each party separately. O my Gosh....

I just wonder how to install a linux distribution with this attitude (how to find out thousands of thousands ECCNs before installing the software). I really, really think, someone fooled you!

Yeah I know!!! Unfortunately in some places it's the only way to get to use open source/free software in order to avoid accidental illegal software export.

As for XAMPP, since its has a few lines of code on it's own, such as the management console php files, as well as the installer executable itself, I do have to ask the vendor or support forum if the ECCN class number has been determined, even if I myself believe that its unlikely. In the end we guess/determine the number to be the same as of a piece of a similar software. In some areas of development the probability that software is classified is higher than in others, of course, in case of web development it would be extremely rare to find a single line of code that is classified for non-export :)

As for Linux - currently we can't install Linux, so that problem is solved :D
