After the installation of the XAMPP for Windows version 5.6.12' for Windows 10 I discovered, that the folder 'C:/xampp/htdocs/xampp' is missing many subfolders and files, because there are only THREE files:
- .modell
- .modell-usb
- .version
I am expecting there with:
- folders: external. image, lang, navilinks and sqlite
- important files like: manuals.php, mysql.php, phpinfo.php, start.php, status.php

I wonder whether that installation file has not been transmit well.

Everything is fine, these files have been removed since a couple of versions. Unfortunately, the documentation is still not updated.

Oei, obsolted! Now I wonder how I can then create and update the password of the XAMPP directory -and- MySQL?

Is it an MySQL command? Please tell me clear how I can create/update my MySQL password from what program? And what about my XAMPP password?

The linked thread is a step by step instruction with screenshots. How could i tell you more clearly what to do?
