Moving local XAMP site to Pivotal Cloud Foundry

Has anyone had success packaging and moving a local XAMP (PHP/MySQL modules only) site onto the Pivotal Cloud Foundry platform?

I am new to this cloud thing and am required to package and deploy a site to this particular platform for school. Even the professor can't get it to work.

I have read the documentation regarding deploying to Amazon, Azure, and Google platform - all of which look quite painless, but the curriculum is quite set on this Pivotal platform, so we need to try all outlets to get it to work on that first. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
