how to upgrade PHPMYADMIN after installing xamp in windows 7?

Simply remove the old folder phpmyadmin and install phpmyadmin into a new phpmyadmin folder. Adapt config.inc.php to your needs (i.e. keep the old one and transfer the contents to the new one).
