Apache Friends Support Forum

I just wanted to drop a quick note to say that after a few weeks of playing, I've finally got Xampp and even a phpBB forum totally up and running.

So far, I think it's the best 'freebie' I've ever found!

can you tel me how you got the phpbb forum to work
dit you just put it into the folder or dit you do something else??

you are runnig phpBB from your pc to net ?

Well basically, I downloaded the correct stuff from www.phpbb.com and then unzipped the folder to my htdocs folder within /xampp. There was some instructions on the phpbb.com web site as to how to configure it from there.

The register_globals? What's that? And why does it need to be on?

don´t know ... but you can find it at php.ini ... i cold not install phpbb witch register_globals off ... (the phpbb team say that ^^)
