I just downloaded XAMPP 5.6.8 to replace an older version.

I click on the installation file but nothing happens, desktop also hangs.

I disabled my anti virus.

I can see the process running as in screenshot but consumes 0 CPU.

I would recommend using the zipped version instead. Simply unzip to your hard disk root and you're read to go: http://sourceforge.net/projects/xampp/f ... ows/5.6.8/
