Hello everyone,

I am just beginning to familiarize myself with this program. I have faced some trouble and hope someone will look over the following log from my XAMPP control panel. In simplest terms, tell me how I may fix the issue. Also: one of the issues noted in the log is that I am not running the program as administrator - this is incorrect, I am.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

There is a sticky at this forum describing many Apache start issues...

Windows knows two different administator rights. The simple one are given to you if your user account is Administrator. The elevated one are restricted by the Windows UAC and can get requested by programs (XAMPP control panel does not do that for good reasons) or by the user itself. You can start the control panel with elevated administrator rights by rightclicking the control panel exe file and choosing "run as Administrator".

best wishes,
