Hi,

are there any (new) plans to support MariaDB as either an replacement for MySQL or as a plugin/extension in the near future?

(For the records: I know the posts on how to use MariaDB with XAMPP. AND I explicitly DON'T want to start a discussion about advantages and disadvantages of MariaDB. I just need to know for future planning.)
