5.6.3 "installer payload initialization failed"

Tried downloading and installing XAMPP multiple times on from both Chrome and Firefox and get the same error message "installer payload initialization failed". Also tried running it a couple times from the command prompt and got the same message. Any fix for this?

Download the ZIP Package instead and simply unpack it to your harddisk (you will find all packages on sourceforge). This is the "old fashioned" way of installing Xampp. Sometimes the executable installer has problems with security suites and virus protection.
