I've took Xampplite live with my IP but I need to know how to stop access to my xampp/index.php

When I go to my http://00.00.000.00/ (not posting my real IP ofcourse) it redirects to my xampp/index.php which I don't want public! I want my IP to go to a baisc html page I made or when I set up a bulletin board I would like my IP to be redirected to my bbs. I tried changing the default index.html in /htdocs/ to my own html but when I go to my IP it still redireects to the xampp/index.php

What am I doing wrong?
