Apache has stopped working

Postby dxdani » 14. February 2015 08:09

Hi All
First of all sorry if I'm posting in the wrong forum.
I'm running xampp 2.8 (apache 4.2) on a windows 2003 server.
Today we were trying to install SSL on our server and after that apache stopped working. It can't be started again. I removed the ssl certificates but I'm still getting the same error. I modified httpd.conf and httpd-ssl.conf to disable the lines related to the SSL and still getting the same issue. I just want to disable apache working with SSL and just being able to run my previous setup. Here is the error I'm getting:

Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly.
10:35:28 PM [Apache] This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies,
10:35:28 PM [Apache] improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method.
10:35:28 PM [Apache] Press the Logs button to view error logs and check
10:35:28 PM [Apache] the Windows Event Viewer for more clues

Here is also the error I'm getting in error logs:

Fri Feb 13 18:08:09.283639 2015] [ssl:emerg] [pid 1488:tid 264] AH02572: Failed to configure at least one certificate and key for localhost:443

AH00016: Configuration Failed

I've been googling for six hours and my website is still down. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Best
