When is it viable to consider Apache 2.4 and above as an alt

Hi all, I'm having trouble finding information/break points to decide a transition from a traditional dB like dB12 or SQL2014 to Apache. Besides the costs factor, are there technical limitations I should be aware of?

There is an old fashioned, still very very true idiom (well known in germany), that says: "Never change a winning team". And this is also valid for you: if you do not have any real problems, any issues with your current installation, if you think about an update only for "newer is better", then: DONT DO IT.

Why do you want to get into troubles without any needs?

Moreover, Apache 2.4 is a http server, not a database. You may be thinking CouchDB which is also a project of the Apache Software Foundation, but it's latest version is 1.6.1. I also agree with the english version of Nobbie's idiom, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
