Newbie Quesition - hi there, I want to apologize if i'm in a wrong place to ask this question. But here is my situation.

I use to have a website under joomla 1.5.22, and I backed it up using akeeba backup. Saved the file on my desktop. I also saved all the files using filezilla just in case. Now I want to restore the website on my local machine so I can copy the stuff(content, pictures, etc) to my new webbuilder program.

So I installed xampp for windows 1.7.3 because thats the only one compatible with joomla 1.5.22. I installed xampp and also installed joomla 1.5.22 with no issues. I installed akeeba backup again to the new site on my local computer. Now i want to restore the old site to the new site so I can get my information.

Can I use phpMyAdmin to restore the file? or is there another way to do this?

Thank you.
