Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

I have XAMPP installed on a small c drive. Is it possible to download a large wordpress site that needs reworking onto a big external drive and view it in XAMPP without installing XAMPP on the external drive. If so how do I do that?

I prefer not to run XAMPP on an external drive anyways. You can make an alias to the external drive. However, you need to keep the same drive letter to make it easier.

Thanks, alias sounds like a mac word. Is that like building a Windows shortcut folder. Can some one give me a little more detail on how to do this?
