Installed WebMatrix, now Apache won't work

Postby cisbup » 11. October 2014 16:00

I was using XAMPP just fine to run a site/php app. For a separate project, I installed WordPress through Windows WebMatrix. Now, my XAMPP apache server won't start. I've searched this and other forums for answers. Other people have had this same problem, but I'm a total newbie and none of the answers really make any sense to me. Any help on where to start solving this problem myself, or understanding these answers would be very much appreciated!

I haven't been able to figure out how to change the port settings on WebMatrix, and I've tried ports 80, 8888, and 8080 on XAMPP (though I'm not sure if I'm even changing them correctly).
