I have no problems starting installers for any other program on this machine, yet when I try to run this one, nothing happens, and I can see the installer process stuck in memory. I cannot kill the process. What do?

I am actually having the exact same problem when I try to run: "xampp-win32-1.8.3-5-VC11-installer.exe" it will either freeze the windows explorer window or just lag it very badly. I have also tried installing "xampp-win32-1.8.2-6-VC9-installer" but with the same result. I have tried just double clicking to run and right-clicking and using "run as administrator".

I recommend using the zip instead.
