APACHE doesn't start after virus call

Postby positivo » 04. September 2014 08:16

Hey guys,

I installed Xampp a couple of weeks ago and everything worked fine.
Yesterday my Kaspersky warned me of a serious threat and deleted the file (one in the apache map)
Apache didn't work after that, normal
So I uninstalled Xampp and downloaded it again and installed
Still, Apache won't work
The error log files are emtpy
and the only trace I can find in the Windows Event Viewer (on windows 8.1) is this:
httpd.exe: Syntax error on line 73 of C:/xampp/apache/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load modules/mod_actions.so into server:

that's the filename that was said to be dangerous. And that was removed by Kaspersky
However, re-installing should have cured this, no?
I tried a system restore to 5 days ago and that didn't do anything other than corrupting my Google Chrome
So I did an undo on the restore
Virus scanned and tried "unhack me", but nothing showed up.

So what shall I do next?

Just checked and doublechecked: that mod_actions.so file is not in the map 'modules', not even after the re-install
