Create an Association

Hello,

On my desktop I'm running XAMPP for a year now, no problems at all! (Windows 7)
Now I want to install it on my laptop (Windows Vista) and I'm running into trouble.

First, I installed the C++ extension. Good.

Secondly, trying to install XAMPP, setup asks the standard questions whether to install ftp, tomcat etc, which I ticked off. After that the setup application then starts to unload files into C:/xampp. It is during that process that setup comes up with the error message
Header: https:/bitnami.com/stack/xampp?utm_source=bitnam&utm_medium=installer&utmcam...( I'm unable to read the rest of the header).
Error message: This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel.

I know what this message means. But I have no idea what has to be associated with what.

A small hint like: LOOK HERE YOU DUMMY would be appreciated. :-)

Hi,

I don't like the Bitnami installer, it is not bulletproof from my side of view.
Try the .zip version instead and run the setup_xampp.bat file after unzipping.

best wishes,
Altrea
