Sharepoint emulated with XAMPP

Postby mjmiller1824 » 21. July 2014 07:02

I'm trying to learn MS Access 2013 and the tutorial is taking me through the webapp portions and well I don't have a sharepoint server to host them on. Is there a way to emulate a Sharepoint server with the php portion of XAMPP? Or does anyone know of another solution? I don't even need to actually be able to share them, I just need to be able to create and run the Web app portions of Access 2013. Thanks.

Ok thanks. This might be outside the scope of the forum, but could anyone suggest a solution? This isn't for business it's for me to learn how to deal with and use webapps in access. I have to imagine there is something out there for development, but being as this is Microsoft god only knows. I'm kind of surprised at the idea that no one has reverse engineered a solution to allow Office apps to be hosted in the their web app forms on some php server that isn't Sharepoint. But I'll be the first to admit I know virtually nothing about sharepoint other than the really rather frustrating bits I've found online.

No, there is no solution.
MS Access 2013 webapp feature is highly dependend on Sharepoint because it has interfaces only for Sharepoint.
You can use Access 2013 without Sharepoint but then you have to go without the webapp feature.
