Installed new XAMPP, MySQL does not show all DB

Postby OrcaSoul » 31. May 2014 05:48

I just installed the latest XAMPP, and updated phpMyAdmin - after changing the link to adjust for the new security process, I can run PHP scripts.
I run MySQL, get the list of databases, but it is incomplete - the ones included in the old htdocs, which I copied to the new folder, are not showing on the list, even though they are in the new folder!
And I am getting 2 messages at the bottom of the screen:
The phpMyAdmin configuration storage is not completely configured, some extended features have been deactivated. To find out why click here.

The configuration file now needs a secret passphrase (blowfish_secret).

The first I recognize, but the second is new - what do I need to do to add the "passphrase" & make that go away?

And how do I get the missing DB's in htdocs to show?
